Cheryl Bernstein is an artist and the founder of the Morning Glory Foundation which provides scholarships to students in need. The program is geared toward Cheryl’s passion of mentoring and providing teens with a means toward furthering their education. Many of these students will be the first in their family to complete high school and go on to college. Cheryl has assisted local families for over 10 years and her support is essential toward helping them tackle college applications, financial aid forms and insuring that deadlines are met. This is critical particularly when English is a second language.
Over the years, Cheryl has donated her time and talent creating murals in the local public schools. Her work can also be seen in print with a children’s book she illustrated called “Chicken Fingers Mac-n-Cheese, Why Do I Always Have to Say Please?” Creating murals and trompe l'oeil scenes, designing one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, and photography continue to be a welcome form of Cheryl's creative expression. Cheryl Bernstein resides in Bedford Corners, New York with her wonderful husband Ira, her two beautiful children Justin and Kimberly, and her sweet yet not so talented cat DaVinci.
